Pre-written letter has limited effect

Depending on what area you work in, you may have completed a pre-written objection letter which has been available on some stations.

Unfortunately, this letter has not been written by staff side and does not constitute an involvement with the consultation. Petitions of this type are not helpful to us in gaining your individual and personal views of the plan which carry far more weight than a prepared letter. As such, we urge you to convey your concerns over dynamic deployment through the proper channels with are explained below even if you have signed one of these unaffiliated letters.

UNISON has and always will strongly oppose any form of deployment in which our members are located to roadside standbys. If membership opinion is strong then we will reconsider our entire approach to the deployment plan which again highlights the importance of staff communicating to us.
