Beds & Herts Permitted Dynamic Activation Points

Current “deployment points” are those existing stations, dynamic activation points (hot standbys) and response posts (cold standbys) that appeared in the System Status Plan (SSP) prior to the implementation of the Dynamic Deployment Policy (DDP).The Dynamic Activation Points (DAP) are roadside areas where you may be required to standby for up to 45 minutes.

NO stations, DAPs or response posts that fall outside of this agreement are to be used.

Most stations, DAPs and response post have current risk assessments, some have not been made available at present; therefore:

Any member of staff that gets deployed to a DAP or Response Post should undertake a personal dynamic risk assessment, if at any point they feel unsafe, they are roam the local area and identify a more appropriate standby point, if this is not possible they are to text HEOC advising “feel unsafe, returning to Home DP” unquestioned and feedback via deployment@eastamb.nhs.uk or Duty Operations Manager (DOM) and Local UNISON Steward/Lead County Rep.

Most stations, DAPs and response post have had a facilities assessment, most are non-compliant; therefore if shown as “PART” compliant:

Any member of staff that gets deployed to a DAP or Response Post and at any point needs to use facilities are to text HEOC advising “need to use facilities, returning to x DP” unquestioned and move to the next nearest station or response post with facilities and feedback via deployment@eastamb.nhs.uk or Duty Operations Manager (DOM) and Local UNISON Steward/Lead County Rep.

Some stations, DAPs and response post are completely non-compliant to the Dynamic Deployment SOG and have serious health, safety and welfare issues; therefore if shown as “NON” compliant, DO NOT attend this station, DAP or response post
